Trap Analysis - Everything Else

There are a handful of other traps in the game that are in their own categories but don't warrant their own page. Here are all these misfit toys!

Ancient Box Trap (Forgotten Power)
4300 power, 10% power bonus, 0% attraction bonus, 4 luck, No cheese effect

This trap is hard to make (refer to the FAQ on the Jungle of Dread), and it only serves three purposes: catching an acolyte mouse, catching Balack, and catching the Eclipse mouse at the top of the King's Gauntlet. This trap will do just fine for each of those tasks eventually. As of this writing (April 2012), there is no need for this trap to be used anywhere else. It is 100% necessary though.

Nannybot (Parental Power)
525 power, 5% power bonus, 0% attraction bonus, 5 luck, No cheese effect

I'm being a little TOO thorough by including this trap. It was only moderately useful during Mousehunt's second birthday, and is completely irrelevant now. Good riddance.

Ice Maiden (Draconic Power)
5200 power, 12% power bonus, 0% attraction bonus, 5 luck, No cheese effect

Completely necessary and very useful for catching Dragon Mice, this trap also catches the Gargantuamouse on the Fiery Warpath. Most indigenous mice are weak to Draconic power as well, making this a viable option for hunting in Gnawnia, but honestly, why are you hunting in Gnawnia with the Ice Maiden?

Tarannosaurus Rex Trap (LE) (Forgotten Power)
5200 power, 12% power bonus, 0% attraction bonus, 8 luck, Fresh cheese effect

The first-ever forgotten power trap offered by Ronza, the T-Rex trap was incredibly expensive at 4 million gold, but is the best Forgotten trap in the game. The power and bonus is more than the Ancient Box, but the biggest difference is the doubling of the luck, which will undoubtedly help hunters catch more Acolytes and Balack. An expensive but powerful trap.

Spring Loaded Attack Cactus 1 (Law Power)
300 power, 5% power bonus, 10% attraction bonus, 0 luck, No cheese effect

The first Law power type trap you can obtain, you must be a Lord to have access to Claw Shot City to purchase this trap. The stats, as you can see, are very poor, but as of July 2013, there is no other "beginning" option for a Law trap to use instead. Combined with a good base, you'll see marginal returns on your catch rate, typically around 55%.

Spring Loaded Attack Cactus 2 (Law Power)
1500 power, 6% power bonus, 15% attraction bonus, 0 luck, No cheese effect

The upgraded version of S.L.A.C. 1, version 2 is 5 times as powerful with slightly better bonuses. The only problem is that, while not terribly expensive at 275,000 gold, it also costs 500 Fool's Gold to purchase, a loot drop only available in Claw Shot City. You obtain Fool's Gold as a reward for completing bounties, and it is a long slog to get it. Hunters everywhere are anxiously waiting to see what is next for this area.
